How do you celebrate the Granger Girls Basketball Team placing second in the state playoffs? With a parade of course! And whats the best way to have a parade? With fire trucks of course!. The Granger Fire Department joined the Granger Police Department and the girls basketball team to parade up main street to celebrate the recent girls basketball team victory. The parade started at Hisey Park and wound its way up Main Street eventually ending up at the High School. Along the way there were many people waving and cheering on the girls. As the parade passed the Grade School and Middle School the streets were lined with students showing their support for the team. After arriving at the High School there was a pep rally for the girls on the front lawn. It was a great time for all!
Thanks to Ken Robillard, Donna Shipman and Ken Shipman for driving Granger 15, Granger 11 and Engine 211 in the parade and showing our support for the community and the girls team.
