This is a special collection of photos taken at different fires. I have chosen most based on the unique features and some due to the the beauty contained within the beast.

First arriving at the scene

This is the same fire as above but with a late afternoon sky in the background

Clouds of Fire. Here you can see a large advancing fire front and fire arching into the night sky. Flame lengths approximately 40-50 feet high.

Here the afternoon sun is blocked by a smoke cloud

Multiple fires burn in the valley floor. This picture taken on Rattlesnake Ridge shows Mount Adams in the distance.

A lunar landscape is all that is left after being burned over. In the distance 1-2 miles of fireline.

This photo shows approximately 2 miles of a burnout operation. Note the dozer line and fire units near the bottom of the hill
Sunset in the valley. Taken from a ridgetop this photo looks across the Yakima Valley. Notice smoke rising from the valley from burning fires

Wind and fire conditions came together to form this line of lighted smoke from within the smoke cloud

When a bad day gets worse!
